My prayers are less for myself than for others. My life seems so inconsequential and so unworthy of my own prayers compared to the souls of others that seemed so determined to spend eternity in hell and need so much grace to avoid hell.
There's stories that with their frequency are shocking now but will they be in the back pages in a few years?

The body of a newborn baby that had been crushed by a car was discovered lying on a residential street Saturday, officials said.Repentance, Conversion, Atonement -- for myself and for the whole world. It should be part of every Catholic's lent, along with fish on Friday and "giveups".

The silliness here is that the legislation sponsored by Peter King will actually have the effect of protecting immigrants from exploitation.
